Board of Health waives mobile food permit fees for school community event.

Board of Health · Meeting of February 11, 2026

MILLBURY — Board of Health waives mobile food permit fees for school event. The board unanimously waived the standard $100 one-day mobile food permit fee for each of four vendors at the Millbury Public Schools Community Block Party on May 9, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., because the school will charge no entrance or vendor fees. Public Health Nurse JV reported high flu activity in Massachusetts and urged residents with flu-like symptoms to remain home.

The board heard a presentation from Nick Lazzaro on Kratom and its addictiveness, noting that six Massachusetts communities have already enacted local bans. The board requested that a proposal to eliminate the $25 fee for a second sticker in the Over 65 transfer station category be placed on the March 11, 2026 agenda.
