MILLBURY — The Capital Improvement Planning Committee restructured to meet year-round rather than occasionally, allowing departments to update a newly implemented capital planning platform called Knack, funded through a Commonwealth Community Compact grant. Six members attended on January 7; absent were Mary Krumsiek, Board of Selectmen Chair; Cory Sulminski; and Chris Wilbur, School Committee Chair. The Town Manager set January 23rd as the deadline for departments to enter, update or delete capital projects.
The administration proposed a 2 percent cost-of-living adjustment for non-represented employees and capped department budget requests at 2.5 percent, while projecting a 20 percent increase in health care costs.
