MILLBURY — Commission on Disabilities approves March minutes and continues eight infrastructure accessibility matters. Chair Michael Kennedy reported Spark Millbury at 65 Canal Street has reduced handicap parking spaces from fifteen to four while charging $25 for non-accessible reserved spaces; Kennedy and Vice Chair Daniel Jakes will assess the lot. Building Inspector Caleb Moody is resigning April 17, transferring three pending accessibility matters, Senior Center ADA upgrades, Senior Center parking lot, and Subway Restaurant accessibility, to Director of Planning and Development Victor Panak.
The commission noted the Senior Center sidewalk remains uncorrected to required four-foot width. The Massachusetts Office on Disability opens its FY27 Municipal ADA Improvement Grant on May 1.
