Conservation Commission continues Lake Singletary hearing, approves Old Common Road project.

Millbury Conservation Commission approved conditions for Old Common Road upgrades and continued a Lake Singletary aquatic management hearing. Chairperson Ronald Stead oversaw the unanimous approval of the Old Common Road project, which will upgrade the gravel road for pavement, utilities, and stormwater management within the 100-foot wetland buffer zone. On Lake Singletary, Conservation Agent Don Flynn summarized concerns from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and other state agencies regarding the proposed winter drawdown management program using registered herbicides and algaecides to control invasive vegetation.

The Commission continued that hearing to February 4.
