MILLBURY — Conservation Commission opens public hearing on Lake Singletary drawdown project, continues to March 4. The five-member board voted 5-0 to open and continue the Notice of Intent hearing after the proponent requested postponement; Member Stacey Reed compiled research and questions from a Final Generic Environmental Impact Report review. Applicant Terry Burke Dotson presented a revised zoning bylaw amendment to update water body protection setbacks to 50 horizontal feet from perennial rivers, streams, and wetlands under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act.
Chair Ronald Stead declined to lobby the independent Planning Board on Dotson's behalf, though town staff assistance continued on her warrant submission. The Commission awaits response from property owners Ahmad and Madeeka Waquar regarding a land incursion and retaining wall dispute at 8 Primrose Lane.
