Council on Aging awards $24,053 transit grant, approves policies manual.

Millbury Council on Aging approves policies manual, secures $24,053 transit grant. Director Laurie Keefe reported that the Bank Hometown Fuel Assistance Program completed 57 applications this fiscal year and that Congressman James P. McGovern visited the Senior Center on March 11 to observe Meals on Wheels operations.

Keefe noted drivers have gone three years without a wage increase and recommended an hourly adjustment incorporated into the FY27 transportation budget. The council voted unanimously to approve the policy and procedure manual and to forward it to the town manager for review.
