Millbury Finance Committee approves January minutes and hears staff updates. Treasurer/Collector Denise Marlboro walked the committee through payroll challenges, health benefits administration, and software redundancy in the office; CFO Katie McKenna confirmed a 3 percent salary increase for Marlboro but acknowledged she remains underpaid relative to peer towns. Police Chief Brian Lewos reported securing $202,474.32 in equipment grants and reducing overtime shifts from 130 in 2024 to 38.5 following two officer hires funded by grant and WS Development contribution.
Lewos proposed a Fiscal 2027 restructure adding a second lieutenant and six sergeants, which sergeants have agreed would save the town $40,000 in overtime.
