Fire Board Approves Dually Repair and Firefighter Certifications

MILLBURY — The Millbury Board of Fire Engineers unanimously approved a twenty-one-hundred-dollar repair to the department's dually truck and advanced recruitment and certification initiatives. Chief Mark Strom reported receipt of a Firefighter Safety Grant and said FY27 budget numbers are under review with town finance. In a separate unanimous vote, the board appointed Firefighter McCarter to the FPO-Basic inspector position and scheduled recruit interviews for April 27 at 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., with Firefighter Jumper invited to discuss artificial intelligence applications for the fire department at that same meeting.
