Millbury Fire Engineers approve encampment yard use, appoint superintendent. The board unanimously appointed FF DJ Lizotte as Fire Alarm Superintendent and approved use of the fire department's front side yard for overflow troops during a civil war encampment August 7 through 9. The board also unanimously approved purchase of six Monitor 7 pagers, 100 emblem patches, fire prevention office items, and leather black diamond boots for recruits.
In personnel actions, the board accepted the resignation of Tyler Desautels effective February 1, 2026, and unanimously appointed Recruit Andrew Carnes and Recruit Christopher Mccarter as firefighters following completion of MFA training.
