Millbury Posts Early Voting Schedule for September Primary

Town Hall has posted new details on early voting and polling location logistics for the upcoming September state primary, while Millbury Public Schools prepares families for the first days of classes and the library flags a Labor Day weekend closure ahead.

The Town of Millbury News Flash published in-person early voting schedule information for the September state primary, along with details on the confirmed polling location for the election. Residents seeking specific dates and times for early voting are directed to the town's News Flash page for the full schedule. Town Hall also continues to promote its Notify Me subscription service, encouraging residents to sign up for direct updates on town business.

Separately, the town flagged that the Central Region, which includes Millbury, remains at a Significant Drought Level, according to an August 7 update from Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Rebecca Tepper.

SCHOOLS

Millbury Public Schools continues to roll out back-to-school logistics as the first day of classes approaches. The district's "In the News" feed highlights the new MCAS Family Portal, which families will now use to access their students' state test results instead of receiving them by mail, and reminds Shaw Elementary families that the first day of school is fast approaching with bus route and building information posted to individual school web pages.

The Millbury Public Library has announced it will close for the full Labor Day weekend, September 5 through 7. Ahead of the closure, the library is continuing its August programming push around digital literacy, including new Saturday drop-in tech help sessions and workshops covering artificial intelligence and Microsoft Office use, staffed by the library's "Digital Navigators." The library's homepage feature this week also offers residents a media-literacy checklist for spotting AI-generated photos, part of its ongoing "Bias and the News" resource series.

The town's News Flash also noted that Millbury's Farmers Market will continue at the Asa Waters Mansion on September 17, featuring local vendors and live entertainment.
