Millbury Redevelopment Authority unanimously approved food truck festival spending at its March 18 meeting. Chairperson Leonard Mort, Clerk Sean Cooper, and Treasurer Harold Proodian authorized $280 for table rentals and $182.34 for liability insurance, plus up to $1,500 in advertising under Proodian's discretion for the May 17 event. The board tabled a discussion of donating to the schools' music program, citing difficulties coordinating with school officials.
During new business, members discussed establishing a Facebook presence to solicit community input on redevelopment projects, identifying a potential fairground site and exploring redevelopment of the vacant S&D mill as possible goals.
