Millbury Shaw Elementary Urges Families to Finish Summer Reading

MILLBURY — Shaw Elementary is reminding Millbury families that the school year is close at hand, urging students to wrap up their summer reading while four town boards prepare to meet over the coming week.

SCHOOLS Shaw Elementary Principal Mr. Tuccio sent a note to Shaw families this week reminding them that the school year is approaching and urging students to finish their summer reading before classes resume. The reminder comes as the school continues to promote its new Birthday Book Cart, a program that gives students a free book to mark their birthday during the school year.

COMING UP Millbury has four board and committee meetings on tap over the next week. The Board of Fire Engineers meets Monday, Aug. 17, followed by the Board of Assessors, the Board of Library Trustees and the Dog Park Committee, all convening Tuesday, Aug. 18.
