School Committee approves $27.9 million budget and awards roof project.

Millbury School Committee approves $27.9 million FY27 budget and awards roof work to lowest bidder. The vote was 5-0 to adopt the spending plan, and 4-0 to award the Jr./Sr. High School roof and HVAC project to Colantonio, Inc. of Holliston at $8,473,456 with both alternates accepted, more than $2.5 million below original estimates.
The Committee also accepted a $1,260 gift from bankHometown for the high school. Superintendent Gregory Myers presented progress on goals including cultural competency, student achievement, and safety protocols.
