MILLBURY — School Committee approves HVAC contract renewal and wellness policy on second reading. The Committee voted unanimously to renew the annual maintenance contract with Renaud HVAC and Controls of Sutton, Massachusetts, effective July 1, 2026, reflecting a 3.68 percent increase in prevailing wages raising the hourly rate to $141 from $136. Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance Richard Bedard reported that the FY 2027 state budget will deliver an additional $133,790 in Chapter 70 funding to Millbury based on Foundation Aid enrollment of 1,574 students.
The Committee also unanimously approved the revised District Wellness Policy with an amendment addressing outside agency referrals and appointed member Michael Taber to the Town Manager Screening Committee.
