School Committee elects Wilbur chair, approves labor accord and legal counsel.

Millbury School Committee reorganizes with Christopher Wilbur elected chair. The committee voted unanimously to approve a three-year agreement with SEIU Local 888 covering the district's secretaries, cafeteria staff, and custodians/maintenance workers, and reappointed Murphy, Hesse, Toomey, and Lehane as legal counsel at an average annual cost of $13,804 over recent fiscal years. The committee granted preliminary approval for a spring 2028 student trip to Paris, Lucerne, and Munich, with anticipated costs between $4,700 and $5,000, and authorized the district to enter into vendor contracts up to five years for copy machines and WiFi infrastructure replacement scheduled for summer 2027.
