Millbury School Committee heard updates on school building repairs with financial implications across three projects.
School Committee · Meeting of October 8, 2026
Millbury School Committee heard updates on school building repairs with financial implications across three projects. Vice Chair Jessica Bristol led the four present members as Superintendent Gregory Myers and Business Manager Patrick Mara reported that roof and heating/cooling replacements at Jr./Sr. High School and Elmwood Street School are on schedule and under budget, meeting an October 6 heating functionality milestone.
The gymnasium floor replacement, however, will cost more than the $194,000 insurance payment the town received for the damage. The committee also reviewed revisions to bullying prevention and advertising policies; the bullying prevention plan was tabled for future consideration.
