MILLBURY — The Town Manager Screening Committee held its organizational meeting and swore in all nine members. Ronald Marlborough was unanimously elected Chair, Richard Hamilton as Clerk, and Mary Krumsiek as Vice Chair. Assistant Town Clerk Beth Johnson distributed governance documents and emphasized that all committee business remains confidential; future meetings will be held in executive session.
The committee set a meeting schedule beginning Monday, June 1st at 5:30 p.m. and discussed whether to hire a professional search firm, the committee deferred that decision for further discussion at an upcoming meeting. Members have 150 calendar days to produce a final list of three to five candidates to present to the Board of Selectmen by October 17th.
