Select Board Appoints Hollis Interim Manager

Millbury Select Board appoints Mark Hollis interim town manager as outgoing manager departs. The board voted unanimously to install Hollis, the town's director of engineering, facilities and sewer operations, calling him "the best suited" internal candidate while the finance director search stays paused. Hollis pledged to deliver "a five-year capital plan" and a special town meeting warrant this fall.
The board also formed a Fire Department Modernization Committee, appointing Chair Mary Krumczyk and Selectman Brian Tagg 3-0 with two abstentions, approved a Tasca-branded Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat dealership license for Carl Tasca Jr., and accepted $40 and $50 donations to the police and fire departments. Resident Ginny Picking told the outgoing manager, "my heart's broken."
