Board approves special act for six new liquor licenses

Millbury Board of Selectmen unanimously approves draft special act authorizing six new liquor licenses. The board's approval sends the petition to the state legislature for final authorization. Two licenses may be granted anywhere in town; four are restricted to the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley, 70 Worcester Providence Turnpike.

Acting Town Manager Nicole Valentine was also unanimously appointed Chief Procurement Officer, and the board approved the Police Department collective bargaining agreement 4-0, with Selectman Brian Tagg abstaining.
