Millbury selectmen authorize town manager search, appoint interim replacement. The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to authorize the Town Manager Search Committee to hire a recruiting firm with a budget not to exceed $15,000 and appointed Nicole Valentine as Acting Town Manager, effective June 18. In financial matters, selectmen approved a $15.5 million bond anticipation note payable June 2027 with a $134,385 premium and authorized departmental transfers totaling $143,500.
The board also approved a Common Victualler License for Wonder restaurant, a five-year service contract for the emergency generator at Fire Headquarters, and the 4th Annual Knights of Columbus 5K Road Race on September 20.
