Millbury Finance Committee unanimously approves $143,500 in year-end budget transfers during June meeting. The committee voted 4-0 to redirect surplus funds from health insurance accounts, with Chair Charles Cooper, Vice Chair Jennifer O'Connell, Clerk Judith O'Connor, and member Russell Wells approving the allocation. Funds are divided among Town Manager Professional Services ($15,000), Legal Settlements ($38,500), IT Professional Services ($15,000), Fire Department utilities ($50,000), and Highway Professional Services ($25,000).
Finance Director Katie McKenna presented the FY28 budget outlook, warning that declining federal grants and reduced state aid could force cuts or an override.
